How do people feel about Republicans in Congress apologizing to BP for the gulf oil disaster?

I think the idea that "the people" are paying enough attention to notice or care that the Republican Party puts big oil and multinational corporations ahead of the interests of citizens is naive. They haven't really been paying attention for years, now, have they?
