I recall 2 years ago, Republicans tried to convince OPEC and Saudi Arabia to lower gas prices..same thing '08?

If I was a Saudi Arabian billionaire prince concerned for self-interest, I'd say go Republicans!!! Will the Monarchy go and do something similar in 08 that they did in 06, to have temporary reduction in gas prices? It didn't work in 2006.
