PLEASE HELP! Story writing problem!?

sounds like a book i read just the other day called "the spellbound hotel" A girl moves to a village with her two loving and rich parents.. but something wierd is going on...the hole village is obsessed with sausages and a apsolutly rubbish soap opera called "what about dave" which just had a woman crying in bed completely bandaged just saying over and over "what about dave!!?" Complete rubbish!!! anyway the main characters parients get under the spell and ignore her completely...she goes out one night and sees a hole load of people walking through the village, monsters descised at humans having a tour of the human world...she follows them and goes through a portal into another world with talking horses and lepracorns
