Isn't it true that Obama is doing better than Reagan and Clinton did midterm during their first terms?

Reagan inherited a worse economy than Obama, by any measure. He did not turn it around right away. Reagan won a landslide victory by the end of his first term, winning 49 states. Clinton tried to force Hillarycare down our throats, and lost. Republicans took control of congress for the first time since 1954. Obama is not likely to be the Democratic nominee in 2012.
